I am a Professor
in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Melbourne, where I have been working ever since
the completion of my PhD at the University of Western Australia in 2000. I was hired as a Research Fellow, ARC Postdoctoral Research Fellow (relinquished after fifteen months to take lectureship),
Lecturer,
Senior Lecturer, and A/Professor and

Prior to my career in Australia, I was a teaching and research staff member at
Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China.
Research Interests
My research interests encompass both pure and applied aspects of Discrete Mathematics, including various topics in Algebraic Graph Theory, Combinatorial Optimization, Theoretical Computer Science and Random Graph Processes.
