Academic Career
I completed my Ph.D. (with distinction) in algebraic graph theory at The University of Western Australia in 2000. Since then I have been working at The University of Melbourne as a Research Fellow, ARC Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, A/Professor and Reader, and Professor. From 2012 to 2015 I was a Future Fellow supported by the Australian Research Council.
Prior to my career in Australia, I was a teaching and research staff member at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China.
